So much to do in Port Hope!

Port Hope is host to a plethora of festivals and events year round. The new year starts off with the annual dining promotion, Delicious Dates. Spring brings maple syrup time followed by the crazy Float Your Fanny river race. Warmer weather brings garden tours, artisans & craft shows and a variety of unique local events. Canada Day celebrations include a parade, music and entertainment and fireworks. Enjoy fall at the historic Port Hope Fall Fair, annual salmon migration and the Historic House Tour. Christmas in Port Hope is a busy time of year with a festival of trees, lights in Memorial Park, a Candlelight Walk, and Santa Claus parade. Use the Calendar of Events to plan your next visit!

Pre-order a rain barrel through the GRCA, and whenyou pick it up, shop for native species to plant in your garden. Choose fromnumerous varieties of native plants, shrubs, trees, and groundcovers to createyour perfect garden oasis.

Do you think you could tell the difference betweenQueen Anne's Lace and Wild Parsnip? If you found a patch of Giant Hogweed,would you know where to report it? Learn this and much more during aninformative and educational walk through the Millennium Conservation Area withGRCA's Watershed Biologist. Spaces are limited for these free walks at 9:30& 10:30. Pre-registration is required by calling the Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority at 905.885.8173.

All proceeds from rain barrels & native plants gotowards the GRCA's programs and services. The deadline to order your rainbarrel is May 15th 2020 via rainbarrel.ca/ganaraska.
