Port Hope hosts an abundance of festivals and events year-round. In the spring, when the ground thaws and maple syrup starts to flow, you can visit the Ganaraska Forest for Maple Syrup Day followed by the exciting and eclectic Float Your Fanny Down The Ganny river race in April.
In summer, warmer weather brings garden tours, artisans & craft shows and a variety of unique local events. Canada Day celebrations include a parade, music, live entertainment and fireworks. Enjoy the beautiful fall colours in the great outdoors by attending the annual Port Hope Fall Fair, or take in the annual Cultivate: A Festival of Food and Drink. Christmas in Port Hope is a busy time of year with the Festival of Lights and Trees at the Capitol Theatre, a Candlelight Walk that finishes with the lighting of the Christmas lights in Memorial Park and, of course, our Santa Claus parade.
