Head to the Port Hope Fair in September, for an old-fashioned agricultural expo and midway that celebrates our farming roots and love of cotton candy and corn dogs!
Taste of country life at one of Canada's longest running fairs
Experience some of Port Hope's most enticing rural charms: giant gourds, a tractor pull, equestrian show and barnyard animals on display. This is real farm country. The fair celebrates harvest season and the fruits of the hard labour, with crop displays and tasty homebaking and preserves. Check out the dill pickle competition!
Meet farmers, pet cows and take a ride on the Scrambler
This is where you can say hello to farmers, eat a fresh-grilled burger and listen to live entertainment. Try your luck at the midway games and ride the Scrambler! It's an annual weekend event to get outside and have some fun.
You'll want to come back to Port Hope for hands-on Farm Experiences and local food, too, at the popular Cultivate Festival.
Don't miss the excitement!
From farm produce to quilts to tractor pulls - there is a ribbon for that!
Learn something new.
A great rotation of live music will get you moving.
