For the 52nd year, Port Hope will hold its annual House Tour on Saturday, September 30, 2017. The Port Hope House Tour is the longest running house tour in Ontario. The event is an annual fundraiser with funds raised distributed to assist with heritage building restoration and preservation efforts in the local area. In addition, the funds are used to provide a scholarship to a student in one of the heritage trades at the post-secondary level.
Says Kathy Kobelski, Chairperson of the House Tour Planning Committee, "We are pleased to offer a lineup of beautiful and interesting vintage and modern homes in the Municipality of Port Hope. After past years' successful events we have high expectations and the home owners of the Port Hope area have again responded!"
Kobelski also remarked that this event typically attracts visitors from all over Ontario, other provinces and from the U.S.A and as a result, tickets usually sell out quickly.
